Alexis Nanibush-Pamajewong

Alexis Nanibush-Pamajewong (she/they) is a Two-Spirit Anishinaabe interdisciplinary artist and emerging curator from Shawanaga First Nation. Alexis resides in Tsi’ Tkaronto where she graduated with a BFA (Honours) in Indigenous Visual Culture from OCADU and is a 2024 Medal Winner recipient. Alexis’s practice began in London, ON where she attended the Beal Art Program. Their work encompasses performance, installation, photography, video, and birch bark biting. Focusing on Anishinaabe stories, ancestral love, presence/absence, and acts of care.
