Hosted by Sami Parliament a night of music, performance and talks.
Lávre Johan Eira is a young indigenous artist and musician from the Sámi village of Guovdageaidnu in the Norwegian side of Sápmi. His musical expression is strongly grounded in the Sámi vocal tradition of joik, yet at the same time universal and innovative. The guitar and a variety of fun effects create an atmospheric soundscape which is investigated through an exciting combination of joik, meditative guitar drones and a mysterious lyrical world. Lávre is exploring new impulses in the world of Sámi music with his modern, dreamy and ambient sound inspired by an internal unrest and the strange mosaic of life.
